Road: With an average age of 22.5 years, and a strong connection to the resort – the Falu CK presents its new men’s elite team before 2013.
Finally it’s time!
After many years without elite team and an autumn with dialogues and preparation, we can now present an elite team as starting in 2013 will compete in Falu CK’s greenish white clothes. In a club which celebrates 90 years we will sign a young and hungry team that still has many years of experience in the sport of cycling. In fact, five of the eight riders are born in the 90 ‘s. The average age of the team is only 22.5 years and half the team will compete with U23-license in the elite class.
It is a team with a strong local connection then all of riders have nothing to do with Falun, and almost all live in the city during the season. The team feels really rigorously composed and has a couple of explosive riders with the ability to decide and to win races in bigger groups. There are also some åkstarka cyclists and several are also very skilled uphill. We have cyclists of all types of Swedish competitions and it is in Sweden we have our focus during this initial year as an elite team.
Squad of cyclists:
Christopher G – from Borlänge CK
Fredrik Carl’s – will take the step up from the junior class
Hendrik Sjölund – makes a comeback
Joel Håland – return home after one year in the French team Tarbes Pyrenèes
Johan Carl’s – comes back home after a year in the French team Tarbes Pyrenèes
Peter Vingstedt – going back to Falu CK after one year in Motala elite team

For Falu Bicycle Club means the team not only a large storefront outward, but also that the Association gives the younger cyclists a safer existence in the society and something to look forward to. FALU Bicycle Club has one year started to grow again, and until 2013, the Club takes two big leap outwards. And with the elite team, but also as an arranger by Long peace is resurrected and becomes part of the endurance race the Cup through the contest New Long calm.
