In physics, beta are the flow of electrons emitted by certain radioactive elements. In chemistry, beta is used to indicate a second product after indicating the first with the letter alpha (α).

Beta in computer science
Beta identifies a computer program that is not fully developed, that is, it works and the software features are complete, but still has errors.
The release in beta or beta relay is free or very low cost. The same can be done to a selective group, what is known as closed beta or open beta for the general public. That is, with the aim that the beta testers themselves (who test the software) indicate the errors and offer suggestions in order to improve the final product.
