Plastic Water Bottle Facts

More recently, in 2005, decades after Teflon coatings were introduced in the manufacture of utensils after every home has at least one Teflon court found that Perfluorooctanoic acid, which is an ingredient of Teflon, has carcinogenic effect. It turns fully imagine this type vessels for school, yet they continue to produce and sell even the largest chain stores. Of ourselves depends not buy Teflon vessels to prevent their harmful effects. Old Teflon vessels away.

Until recently, PET packaging is considered absolutely safe in disposables. They sell and store bottled water and soft drinks. Unfortunately, the latest research on PET plastics found that in the long run this type bottles also emit substances that have a negative effect on human health. These substances fall into the water (or soft drinks) and accumulation disturb the functioning of some hormones, successfully mimicking the hormone estrogen. Quantity estrogen-like chemicals that separate the PET packaging can be viewed as insignificant, but this impact is the cumulative effect and that we generally live in very unhealthy and poisoned environment. This environment reinforces the action of harmful chemicals that generally the human body would have done if you live in a healthy and clean environment. Obtained phenomenon of drop by drop – wringing going on.
If bottles are reused, the problem is exacerbated because as PET plastics are porous and they can easily keep bacteria and odors. The shape of the bottles prevents washing quality and if used detergents, they themselves remain in the pores of the plastic. Thus, apart from the chemicals that separate the PET plastic bottles are dangerous harmful organisms that breed in them.

For other types of plastics are now believes that those numbered 2 (HDPE), 4 (PELD or LDPE) and 5 (PP) are safe for human health. However, whether this is only the future will show extensive research. Practice shows that decades after the introduction of certain types of plastics (considered absolutely harmless) it turns out that far from being so harmless, on the contrary – have very harmful effects on the human body.

Surely plastics, which is good to avoid are those with number 3 (PVC), 6 (PS) and 7 (PC).

PVC plastics are often used for the packaging of meat. They contain softeners called “ptalati” that affect the hormonal balance of man, and during the manufacture of these packages is released dioxin, a potent carcinogen and in addition causes hormonal abnormalities. Given that in animal nutrition also used hormones, including growth hormones and sex hormones alone can not imagine how PVC packaging only adds this monstrous cocktail.

Many toys are still made of PVC plastic, which makes them potentially dangerous for children.

Number 6 (PS) plastics are of two types – extruded polystyrene (also known as expanded polystyrene) which is used for the boxes in which the restaurants put cooked food and glasses. These small foam cups and boxes keep food and beverages warm longer. The other kind is neekstrudiraniyat PS polystyrene, which is used for transparent boxes for takeout, prozrchani plastic disposable cups and plastic utensils. Both forms of polystyrene particles separated styrene, which is considered to be a potential carcinogen (cancer-causing factor) affects the hormonal balance of the body and affects the reproductive capacities of humans.

For Unfortunately, it appears that even famous brands yogurts are distributed in plastic containers of polystyrene. You can see the bottom of the bucket, where the triangle mark recycling wrote the number 6 and below an inscription PS.

Plastics No. 7 (PC) and recycled plastics contain bisphenol A (BPA), which also affects the hormonal balance of the body and is associated with diseases such as cancer, obesity, diabetes, early onset of puberty, increased aggression, decreased memory, roll normal sexual differences in brain structure, reduction of immunity, abortion, breast cancer, prostate cancer.

In recent years, numerous scandals erupted, because it turned out that plastics, which make infant feeding bottles containing bisphenol A. In its defense, the producers argued that the amount of bisphenol A that is released is minimal, but is there a minimum quantity when it comes to babies?! After all, the baby is the purest creature – as precious snow white sheet on which all dirty leaves a mark and trace.

As a result of the protests of many NGOs and associations of mothers manufacturers were ordered to change their product lines and technologies. Prohibit the use of recycled plastics for the manufacture of baby bottles. Unfortunately, still only a fraction of the manufacturers have plastic series of bottles that are BPA free (free from bisphenol A) and this is indicated on the bottles themselves. For the remaining bottles – without this inscription remains a suspicion that perhaps nevertheless emit minimal amounts of bisphenol A. The alternative is glass bottles.
